Swimming Pools in Toodyay, WA

Swimming Pools in Toodyay, WA

Toodyay is one of the Avon Valley's favourite spots — a tourist town with the river, the heritage main street, the Coca-Cola Cafe and a steady stream of people heading out from Perth for the weekend or for good. A lot of Toodyay properties are larger lifestyle blocks, and a pool suits that kind of living perfectly.

Countrywide Pools is a Northam-based family business, just up the road. We've spent more than 20 years installing fibreglass pools across Toodyay and the wider Avon Valley, with over 400 pools in the ground across regional WA. Close enough to be genuinely local, experienced enough to get it right.

A Family Home in West Toodyay

Tucked into the hills of West Toodyay, this project was all about making the most of the view. We positioned the pool to capture the panoramic valley outlook, finished it with sophisticated exposed aggregate surrounds, and used safety-focused perforated fencing so the view stays open rather than boxed in. The result is a pool that feels like it belongs to the landscape it sits in.

"We were thrilled with our choice of using local business Countrywide Pools... the professionalism, knowledge and assistance they gave through the whole process was 10/10. The process was seamless, timings and scheduling was spot on and without delays." — Tracey McBride, Toodyay WA

The McBride family also mentioned something we hear a lot — that the help didn't stop at the pool. We put them onto trusted local contacts for the surrounds and fencing, which made the whole project run smoother.

Toodyay Projects: A Lap Pool Built for the View

This one is a favourite, and it shows what good design can do. The owner wanted a lap pool but didn't want a pool fence cutting across his valley views. So rather than fence it, we built the pool up out of the ground and set the retaining wall at regulation height — which means the wall itself does the job a fence would, and the view stays completely open.

It's the kind of solution that comes from experience, and the industry agreed: the project won Fibreglass Lap Pool and Fibreglass Pool up to $80,000 at both regional and national level.

Why Toodyay Families Choose Countrywide Pools

We're a proud member of SPASA (Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia) and have picked up more than 60 industry awards in the past three years — including national recognition for projects right here in Toodyay.

But the awards aren't really the point. The point is a local family team that communicates, turns up, and does what it says — from the first chat through to handover.

We install premium fibreglass pools built for Australian conditions — durable, low maintenance and quick to install. Whether it's a family pool, a lap pool, a plunge pool or a spa combination, there's a design to suit your block and how you want to use it.

Our team will help you choose the right pool design — browse the full pool range here. And our Pool Planner tool lets you drop a pool onto an aerial image of your own Toodyay property.

Toodyay Caravan Park

We don't only do backyards. When the Toodyay Caravan Park needed its tired old pool brought into the modern era, we took on the full renovation — replacing the old pool with a large resort-style pool, plus a separate wader pool and a spillway spa that flows seamlessly into the main pool.

It's a proper guest retreat now, and it's a spot plenty of Toodyay locals and visitors will recognise. The project won the Hotel/Resort Pool category award.

Toodyay ground is generally pretty good to work with — it doesn't throw up the rock surprises you can hit in some Avon Valley towns. That said, every block is different, especially the larger sloping lifestyle blocks around Toodyay, which is exactly why a proper site assessment matters.

We allow for excavator digs upfront and own the gear to handle whatever a site needs, including a 10-tonne and 5-tonne excavator. We'd rather quote it properly the first time than surprise you later.

One more thing worth knowing: the approvals process in Toodyay tends to be straightforward for us. Because we submit complete information packages with every application and the Shire knows our work, approvals generally move through smoothly.
