Swimming Pools in the Avon Valley
Award-Winning Pool Builders in the Avon Valley
There's a reason the Avon Valley is one of the best places in WA to own a backyard pool. On a still morning the hot air balloons drift right across the valley, and there aren't many better ways to watch them than from the water. A pool out here isn't a city pool squeezed into a courtyard. It's part of the view.
With warm summers and spacious backyards, many homeowners across the Avon Valley are choosing to install swimming pools as a way to make the most of outdoor living.
Countrywide Pools is a Northam-based family business, and the Avon Valley is our home patch. We've been installing fibreglass pools across the valley and the wider Wheatbelt for more than 20 years, with over 400 pools in the ground across regional WA. We know this region because we live and work in it every day.
Choosing the right pool builder is important when installing a swimming pool in the Avon Valley. Properties across the region can vary significantly, from rural lifestyle blocks to established residential homes, and each site requires careful planning. Read our blog on how to choose the right pool builder here.

Built for Avon Valley Living
The Avon Valley covers a lot of ground, and so do the properties in it. We install pools on rural lifestyle blocks, working farms, acreage properties and townsite homes right across the region. Whatever the block looks like, the long warm summers out here make a pool genuinely worth it.
For most families it comes down to the same things. Kids outdoors instead of on screens. Somewhere to cool off after a hot day on the farm or in the paddock. A spot for friends and family to gather over summer. A pool earns its place quickly out here.
If you want to see how one might look on your block, our Pool Planner tool lets you drop a pool onto an aerial image of your own property before you've even enquired.

Local Builders Who Know Avon Valley Ground
This is where local experience genuinely matters. The Avon Valley is a mixed bag underground, and what you hit depends a lot on where you are. Northam townsite can be rocky. Other parts of the valley have coffee rock. Cunderdin townsite is known for granite. And plenty of sites are completely straightforward.
The problem with quotes from builders who don't work the region every day is they tend to assume an easy, sandy, level block — then the extras appear once digging starts. We quote the other way around. We allow for excavator digs upfront and we own the gear to handle it, including a 10-tonne and 5-tonne excavator with rock-breaking attachments. We'd rather quote it properly the first time than surprise you later.
In our 20+ years working across the Avon Valley, we've yet to find a block we couldn't get a pool into.
Why Avon Valley Families Choose Countrywide Pools
We're a proud member of SPASA (Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia) and have picked up more than 60 industry awards in the past three years, including recognition for Project of the Year, Sustainable Project and Operational Excellence.
But the part that matters most to our customers isn't the trophies — it's that we turn up, communicate, and do what we say we'll do. We're a small family team. You'll deal with real people the whole way through, from first chat to handover.
“We have had an amazing experience right from the start to the end. Communication and service throughout was outstanding and the whole team delivered everything and more — plus bonus three good looking chaps completed the installation!”

FAQ’s
-
A fully installed fibreglass pool generally falls between $30,000 and $120,000+, depending on the pool size, your site conditions and any extras like fencing, heating or fit-out. Avon Valley sites vary a lot — a straightforward block and a rocky or sloping one are different jobs — which is why we quote properly upfront rather than giving a vague figure. For a detailed breakdown, see our pool cost guide.
-
Once we're on site, a fibreglass pool install generally takes 2-4 days depending on site conditions and weather. The full process from enquiry to swimming usually runs 3-9 months once you factor in design, approvals, manufacturing and scheduling.
-
It's common in parts of the valley — Northam townsite can be rocky and Cunderdin has granite — and often you don't know exactly what's down there until digging starts. We allow for excavator digs upfront and carry rock-breaking gear on site, so smaller rock is handled as part of the normal dig. For bigger jobs, our contracts include provisional sums covering any extra work, so there are no nasty surprises. In 20+ years we've yet to find an Avon Valley block we couldn't pool.
-
Yes. We install right across the valley and the wider Wheatbelt — Northam, Toodyay, York, Cunderdin, Beverley, Goomalling and the smaller localities in between. Rural blocks, farms, acreage and townsite homes are all standard work for us.
